Vale Peter Dive
On Christmas morning at 5am, talented LA photographer and life long friend Peter Dive lost his life. It was sudden and hopefully painless. A lover of art, photography, parties and iconic legends, Peter would often talk about the tragedy of Hollywoods sirens and heartthrobs (Bette Davis, Cary Grant, Rock Hudson, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor) and I truly believe, if those icons had known him personally, they would have counted him as their closest confidante and trusted friend of their inner circle. Peter made himself available in the most empathetic way - so you felt you were his most treasured VIP friend. He had amazing recall for events and people and especially people he's worked with.
Peter had been living in LA for so many years shooting models and actors, sunsets and surfers that I had started to tell models to look him up if they were making their way to the sunny state of California.
Peter made the decision to move back to Australia and be close to family. I was so thrilled that we would have him back on Aussie soil. Lost for more words, I thought I'd just post a few of his images to share his work.
